Your bookstore URL follows this format: books.by/[your-chosen-name]
You can set this URL to:
Your real name
Your pseudonym
Your publishing imprint
How to Change Your Bookstore URL
While you were required to set up a bookstore URL during signup, you can change it at any time by following these steps:
Log in to your account
Click on Bookstore in the left-hand menu
Select Books.by Link
Edit your URL in the field provided
Click Save to confirm your changes
Important Things to Know
Before changing your URL, please note:
Changing a link will have an immediate effect
All references to the previous link will no longer work
Links can not impersonate another person and should match your bookstore
Some links may be reserved or already in use by Books.by
Links must be between 3 and 32 characters, lowercase numbers & letters, single hyphens allowed
Additional Considerations
Once you release your URL, other authors can claim it in the future. We recommend changing your URL only when necessary, as maintaining consistent links helps readers find your books more easily.
Remember to update any marketing materials or social media profiles with your new URL after making a change.
